Why do I sometimes sleep with one eye open? Mandy from Watertown, MA is looking for an answer. Celtic folklore holds that "a person aslumber with one eye up and one eye under" is destined to be reunited with an unknown twin. Folklore aside, Mandy, your problem is *Swollen Eye Syndrome* or SES. Many modern appliances emit *thetazine* rays that increase the eye's capacity for *lipidular retention*. The resulting "Large Eye" can sometimes interfere with the machinations of the eyelid, thus holding it open while you sleep. A good way to combat this condition is a diet rich in vitamin A, sustained *repabolic* activity such as rowing, and allowing the eyes the occasional "weep". Sleep tight!

Is freeze-dried food okay to eat? Paul Rothstein from NJ is up for an explanation. Paul, your question comes at an appropriate time. Seven retired cosmonauts have recently come forth with claims that freeze dried cranberries have caused them "irreversible changes". Freeze drying is the process by which biological substances (often food) are preserved by freezing and drying in a *Kulmt Vaccuum* (from Dr. H. Kulmt, Swedish inventor and supertectonics consultant). The cosmonauts in question have made claims to their government that since they ingested the suspicious fruit, they have experienced differences in their original anatomy. The claims are currently "alleged" but it doesn't hurt to read any disclaimers on the packaging first, Paul. Enjoy!
